Professional Membership Grades
Membership Grades are based on experience, educational qualification and contribution to the development of the market research practice in Nigeria.

FELLOWS - FMRA
This is the highest status in the Association. Candidates considered for fellowship awards shall be:

• Persons of immense achievement in the practice of marketing research; with a minimum of 15 years experience in the industry.
• Members who are prominently seen to have made tangible contributions to the profession.
• Members who are up to date in the payment of membership dues.
• Members who are involved in the activities of the association such as meetings, Council Meeting and serve as guest lecturer/facilitator.
  • Election for this grade is by sponsorship/recommendation by a screening committee.
  • Members in this grade are entitled to use fmra after their names.

Full Members- mmra
To become a full member, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

• Must be professionals with at least 5 years experience.
• Should have 7 years post graduation experience in a reputable organization/agency.
• Must be able to demonstrate sound research knowledge and application.
• Must be a full Research Executive for at least 5 years

On the client side:

• Should be a full manager in a research driven organization.
• Education: Minimum of HND or Equivalent
• Members in this grade are entitled to use mmra after their names.   ^Top

Associate Members- amra

Applicants should satisfy the following requirements:

• Should be qualified for full membership except for inadequate cognate experience. That is, they are not in the mainstream of research as executives or managers.
• Must exhibit potential to become a full member.
• Should have at least 3 years experience in organization or agency having full members.
  • Members in this grade are entitled to use amra after their names    ^Top

Affiliate Members- afmra
Applicants must possess the following:

• Should be persons who are involved in complementary research functions.
• These persons should have worked or be working in an Agency or department that has a full member or some one qualified to be a Full member of the Association.
  • Members in this grade are entitled to use afmra after their names.   ^Top

Student members
Applicants must possess the following:

• Be a minimum of OND holder..
• Must show interest in marketing research as a career.
• Must be actively studying to pass the professional examinations of NiMRA.    ^Top
